After a lengthy investigation by the club - it has been decided that Greenwood will be found a new club to continue his career.

After the decision was confirmed on Monday, Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker tweeted: “Inevitable and right decision on an untenable situation.”

But if they do make a move, Jean-Clair Todibo has been linked, and the 23-year-old is said to have entered talks with current club OGC Nice over his future, seeking clarity on where his future lies. RMC Sport have reported the news, claiming Todibo wants clarity in the wake of reported interest from United.

The Red Devils have also been linked with a move for Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard recently, but it seems as though the Frenchman will be heading to Inter Milan, with the Champions League finalists said to be ‘confident’ of reaching a deal despite not yet reaching a deal with Bayern.
