Four Premier League sides interested in Man Utd's Scott McTominay - bid expected

Fulham are the leading the chase to sign Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay and are expected to lodge a bid later this summer.

The 27-year-old is among a plethora of first-team stars who United are willing to sell this window in order to raise funds for incoming signings. Fulham could, therefore, be a realistic destination for McTominay, who has made 252 appearances for the Red Devils.

ManchesterWorld understands Fulham hold a strong interest, with manager Marco Silva keen on the United youth graduate and he hopes to pair McTominay with former team-mate Andreas Pereira in the Fulham midfield. A bid is expected at some point, while Southampton, Newcastle United and West Ham United are also interested in McTominay.

The latter had an offer rejected for the midfielder last summer and it’s believed their interest has waned in the last 12 months. McTominay was a player Erik ten Hag was willing to sell ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, yet his crucial goals may well have kept the Dutchman in his job.

United’s no.39 netted an injury-time brace to rescue three points against Brentford in October, while he also scored both goals in a 2-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford. McTominay’s ‘23/24 showreel included the winner at Villa Park, in addition to decisive goals against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sheffield United, Galatasaray, Liverpool and Coventry City. McTominay scored 10 goals last season, a tally only Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes bettered in the United squad.

For now, Scotland’s early elimination from Euro 2024 means he is set to meet up with the United squad before this summer’s tour of the USA.

Elsewhere, the club continue to pursue deals for Dutch pair Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee, while Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte is a player they are interested in, along with Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite.
