This ex-Manchester United manager could find himself without a job in the new year if he can’t improve his current club’s fortunes.

The Premier League returns on Boxing Day after 43 days without league football. The mid-season break was due to the World Cup being held in Qatar, which saw Argentina, who had Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez and Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez in their squad, lift the prestigious trophy on 18 December.

However, supporters of the Red Devils and Sky Blues will have to wait a little longer to see their teams compete again in the top flight. Erik ten Hag’s men welcome Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford on 27 December, while Pep Guardiola’s side travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United the following day.

United and City have had a good start to their Premier League campaigns with the former sitting fifth in the table after 14 games, three points behind Tottenham in fourth and with a game-in-hand. As for the Sky Blues, they sit second in the league, five points behind table-toppers Arsenal.

Ten Hag and Guardiola’s job security is something that neither man will need to worry about in the near future, but the same can’t be said about those in charge of clubs lower down the table, including former Red Devils boss David Moyes.

The Scotsman’s current side West Ham have won just four of their opening 15 league games this season and sit just one point above the relegation zone. Despite providing them with European football last campaign after a seventh-place finish, the bookies have him among favourites to be sacked unless he turns things around at the London Stadium.

With that being said, let’s take a look at which other Premier League managers are in threat of losing their jobs, according to SkyBet.
