It has been a poor start to the new Premier League campaign for Manchester United, who have won just two of their opening five games, losing the other three. Erik ten Hag's men also fell to a 4-3 defeat at Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek - a scoreline which could have been much worse.

Attention turns to Burnley away in the Premier League on Saturday evening but just because we are well and truly in the matchday cycle doesn't mean transfer rumours are dead. In fact, here is the latest Man Utd round-up.

United to lose player to City

Fabrizio Romano has reported that United will lose one of their younger players to Manchester City. The Blues are said to be close to completing a deal for Harrison Parker.

Romano tweeted: “Manchester City will formally complete both Divine Mukasa and Harrison Parker deals today. Documents being signed, then time to announce. Parker joins from Man United, exclusive news confirmed - Mukasa joins from West Ham.”

'One to watch'

Meanwhile, Romano has also stated that United are keeping tabs on Benjamin Sesko. 90min reported the initial interest in the summer window but Sesko subsequently joined RB Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg in a deal that was struck 12 months prior.

Romano told CaughtOffside: “Another striker to watch in 2024 will be RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. He has long been regarded as a top talent, and at every single Leipzig game there are scouts from top clubs monitoring him, especially from England. His progress is being monitored, let’s see what will happen, though not in January for sure, but in summer 2024 or 2025. The price tag is impossible to say now as he only joined Leipzig, it’s not something evolving now, but one to watch in the near future.”
