Fabrizio Romano reveals 'real issue' in the way of £63m Man United target making Premier League move

Manchester United are eager to sign a new clinical goalscorer this summer as they address the problems in their inconsistent attack.
A number of household names have been linked with a stunning move to Old Trafford once the window opens, including Nigerian sensation Victor Osimhen.

The 26-year-old’s expected departure is just the start of discussions over his future, though. Bringing him to England is not going to be easy and Fabrizio Romano has highlighted exactly why that is.
Fabrizio Romano names major Victor Osimhen sticking point
Speaking on his latest YouTube video, Romano has provided an update on Osimhen’s situation, including what could stop him from making a move to the Premier League, despite several clubs looking to sign him.
“First of all, Osimhen will not be staying at Napoli. For sure, it’s over. The relationship between Osimhen and Napoli is over.

For the Premier League clubs, with Financial Fair Play and different salary structures, at the moment, this money is considered too much.”
Romano then went on to list two options for Osimhen moving forwards. He either reduces his salary expectations to ensure a Premier League move materialises, or he explores a switch to somewhere like Saudi Arabia, where he can expect his current wages to be paid without much fuss.
Osimhen also has a €75 million (£63m) release clause in place, which does not seem to be a problem for the Premier League clubs showing interest. Instead, it’s his eye-watering salary.
Man United links with Victor Osimhen
Rudy Galetti of TEAMtalk recently reported on United’s pursuit of Osimhen. The Red Devils are ‘concretely interested’ in the Nigerian, who will return to Napoli from his loan spell with Galatasaray next month.

Despite their less than desirable run in the Premier League and finishing way behind the Champions League-qualifying pack, they have a golden opportunity to secure their place among Europe’s elite next season.
After some stunning and inspiring performances in the Europa League, the Reds Devils are just one more win away from the trophy and a place in the Champions League next season. After a staggering 7-1 aggregate win over Athletic Club, United simply need to beat Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the final in Bilbao on May 21st.
