Fabrizio Romano gives 'exclusive Manchester United update'
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Erik ten Hag could look to secure a major deal from former club Ajax this summer.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano gave viewers an 'exclusive update' on winger Axel Dongen.
The promising 18-year-old Dutchman is out of contract with the club this summer and Romano believed ten Hag is very aware of that fact. He said: "I have an exclusive update for you because there is a talent at Ajax who is really, really interesting. Out of contract in the summer 2023, Van Axel Dongen.

"So he's a player to watch because Manchester United are informed on the situation. At the moment, there is no bid, but Man United are keeping an eye on the situation."
Dongen has had a difficult season with the Dutch side after tearing a ligament but a goal and two assists in a 58-minute appearance last time out highlights his promising future.

He said: "It's true that we may have competition in our attempts to keep Jarrad longer. Well, let him develop first.
"What is extremely important is that he is having a great time at PSV. That is a basic condition if we want to have a chance at all."
Branthwaite has seen that competition that van Nistelrooy is talking about, with clubs rumoured to be scouting the star including Manchester United and Liverpool.

"But for me, it's just about playing the games. The first half of the season, I wasn't playing as many as I wanted, but now I'm just fully focused on doing that and performing the best I can."
