Ex-Manchester United boss lands new role after West Ham exit alongside Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has bagged a new role just days after leaving West Ham United - and he’ll be on TV screens this summer.
The 61-year-old Scot rejoined West Ham in December 2019 and guided the London club to Europa Conference League success last season, which was The Hammers’ first major trophy for a remarkable 43 years.

Moyes has been linked with Russian side Spartak Moscow. But over the summer, he will be on screens serving as a pundit at the European Championships. Moyes has been lined up as part of the BBC’s coverage in Germany alongside former Everton striker Wayne Rooney and ex-Toffees boss Frank Lampard. Both Moyes’ Scotland and England will play in the tournament this summer.
Meanwhile, the new West Ham boss Lopetegui told West Ham TV: “I feel very happy, first of all, to be able to be part of the future of this big club. We will try to put our stamp on the club.
“I feel that we have a fantastic platform. I think the last few years have been very good years to have this base, of course, but my ambition as a coach is always to be better and better, to achieve more and bigger aims and to encourage and improve the players, the team, and to compete because football is about this – to compete. We are very ambitious about this.”
