Dutch news outlet DeTelegraaf claim the 51-year-old is a name of interest for the Red Devils, but ten Hag has no plans to leave his home country at present and has assured senior figures at Ajax he would not walk away from the club in the middle of a season.

De Telegraaf write that ten Hag would not move ‘not even for the great Manchester United’ who would be able to ‘triple’ his current earnings.

Ten Hag is a former professional footballer who spent most of his playing career with the Eredivisie side Twente.

The 51-year-old has been with Ajax since 2017 and under his tenure they have won two league titles.

He led the side to their first Champions League semi-final since 1997 in the 2018/19 competition, while the club have twice won the KNVB Cup since he’s been in charge.

This term, Ajax have been hugely impressive and have won all four Champions League games to date, securing their passage to the last-16 in the process.
