But with United expected to conclude more business before the market closes on 1 September, we’ve taken a look at three of the latest transfer reports surrounding the club.
Casemiro the latest link
United see Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro as a ‘potential reinforcement’ in the remaining weeks of the window, as per Marca.
The Spanish outlet claimed United have sent club officials to Madrid to negotiate a deal, but Los Blancos have yet to receive an offer for the five-time Champions League winner.

United targeting five players
Erik ten Hag wants to make five new signings in five separate positions, according to 90min.
They also reported United remain confident of securing a deal for Frenkie de Jong, while Pedro Neto has been offered to the Red Devils by agent Jorge Mendes.
Right-back is also a concern with Ten Hag interested in Barcelona’s Sergino Dest, although Josip Juranovic of Celtic has been mooted as an alternative.

Ronaldo departure growing more likely
BBC Sport have reported that Cristiano Ronaldo may be allowed to depart Old Trafford before the end of the window as he is impacting squad morale.
The striker’s departure could ‘trigger a significant improvement in overall performances’ with club officials alarmed at how drastically the mood around Carrighton has plummeted since Ronaldo returned at the end of pre-season.
It’s also been claimed the 37-year-old rarely communicates with team-mates and he has made no secret of his desire to secure a move away from the club.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has tweeted to say Ronaldo’s agent is ‘still working to find a solution’, and a last-minute transfer remains possible.
