Erik ten Hag has confirmed it is possible that Anthony Elanga, Facundo Pellisti and Brandon Williams could leave Manchester United on loan before the end of transfer deadline day.
The trio have all played for the first team this season but given the competition for places in the wide areas, they all may be set to leave the club before the 11pm deadline on Tuesday. Asked about the chances of Elanga, Pellistri and Williams leaving, Ten Hag replied: “Could be, but it depends on certain circumstances. If so, it would be likely that it would loan.”

Despite United having just four senior midfielders for the remainder of the campaign, in Fred, Casemiro, Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes, any incomings look unlikely. In contrast, rivals Chelsea and Arsenal are adding depth in midfield on deadline day. However, the United boss refused to be drawn on comparisons between the clubs.
“I can’t talk for other clubs and I am talking only for our club. We have a strategy and we keep that strategy,” he explained.
“We want to restore Manchester United where they belong. We are in a good direction and it has to match our financial frames. We started the season and we keep consistent to that plan, to the strategy.
