Deadline-day transfers: All 15 deals completed by Man Utd & Man City on the final day of the window
It was a busy end to summer for both Manchester United and Manchester City.
The end of the transfer window was an extremely busy affair for both Manchester United and Manchester City.
Between the two clubs, a remarkable 15 transfers were completed on deadline day, with five arrivals and 10 departures.
For United, they approached Friday knowing a goalkeeper, left-back and midfielder were all possibilities additions. The Red Devils managed to wrap up deals in all three positions, adding to the previous signings of Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Ramsus Hojlund this summer.
On deadline day, United’s first arrival was confirmed at 9am and the final departure was confirmed after the 11pm window had shut.
It was a similar story for City, although their final bit of business was announced around 9:45pm. The Blues’ window had been as much about departures as incomings, with Aymeric Laporte, Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez leaving, and there was another high-profile exit before the window shut.
Josko Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic and Jeremy Doku had arrived in the early part of the market, with a fourth and final addition on Friday, bringing the club’s spending over £200m for the summer.

1. Altay Bayindir- United (in)
Arrived from Fenerbahce on a £4.3m deal. The goalkeeper will play back up to Andre Onana.

2. Marc Jurado- United (out)
Signed for Espanyol on a permanent deal.

3. Logan Pye- United (out)
The teenager joined Burnley on deadline day.

4. Jonny Evans- United (in)
The defender penned a new contract running until June next year, having previously signed a short-term deal earlier this summer.
