Manchester United head to London this week in the biggest game of the Women’s Super League season (WSL) so far. Can United finally get one over Chelsea? Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the big clash this weekend.

The biggest game of the WSL season is upon us as Manchester United take on champions Chelsea at Kingsmeadow this weekend. With both sides enjoying impressive unbeaten league runs, a packed out ground will greet the teams as just one point seperates them at the top of the tale.

It is certain to be a game that will decided by big moments and big players and, following her impressive hat trick last week, United will be looking to the likes of Alessia Russo as they aim to gain an important three points in the title race at the home of three times champions Chelsea. With Blues and Matilda’s hotshot Sam Kerr around though, United will need to be on top of their game if they are to pull a positive result out of the bag.

Manchester United team news

Head coach Marc Skinner confirmed he has no news injury worries this week, with January signing Lisa Naalsund now available for selection after making the squad for the first time in last week’s 5-1 win over Leicester City.

Fellow winter signing Jayde Riviere is still ruled, with Skinner advising he expects her to be ready in two weeks.
