Chelsea still eyeing Man United star this summer despite '£67m bid' from Italy
Man United are likely to offload several players in the summer transfer window in order to generate funds for their own transfer business, and overhaul the squad to suit Ruben Amorim.
After what has been an underwhelming year at Old Trafford, big names such as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony all look set to leave in the summer on permanent transfers as their respective loan deals are due to expire.

Ornstein links Chelsea to Alejandro Garnacho
The Blues previously held an interest in Man United winger Garnacho in the January transfer window, but decided against making a move for the 20-year-old, with concerns surrounding his attitude. Garnacho has struggled for consistent form this season at Old Trafford, making 48 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists. He is United’s third-top scorer this season.
According to the Athletic’s David Ornstein, Chelsea remain interested in Garnacho and could be in line to pursue him in the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen on the flanks.
Maresca currently plays a combination of Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho on the wings, all of which have struggled to nail down their starting XI place for a consistent amount of games. Garnacho is expected to command a transfer fee of close to £70m, something that was made evident last week when reports emerged suggesting that Serie A side Napoli made an offer to United of £67m for the Argentine. It is not yet understood as to whether this figure matches United’s valuation of the 20-year-old, however, they would more likely prefer to sell him to a foreign team rather than someone like Chelsea who is a rival in the Premier League.

Hide AdWho could Man United replace Garnacho with?
Man United will need to find a winger to replace Garnacho should they decide to cash in on the academy product, and they have recently been linked to a Premier League attacker who could fit the mould. According to recent reports, United and Tottenham are set to ‘battle’ to sign Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo. He has made 30 league appearances for Andoni Iraola’s side this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.
United and Spurs are reportedly willing to pay £43 million to sign Semenyo, but it is not yet understood as to whether that would be enough of a fee to tempt the Cherries to sell him. If they did sell Garnacho for close to £70m and then decided to sign Semenyo for £43m, they would make a significant profit, and still ensure that they have a technically-gifted and pacey winger for Amorim next season.
