Casemiro still has two years remaining on his current contract, but there are fresh reports claiming he could leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The Brazilian was said to have dismissed interest from United, but according to Mundo Deportivo, his stance has changed.

It’s reported Casemiro is now willing to listen to offers from United, but it will take a good one to convince him to make the move to Old Trafford.

The Brazilian has become a club legend at Real Madrid, winning three La Liga titles and five Champions Leagues, among many other titles.

And he could now get a fresh challenge at the age of 30, one he may well be up for.

According to multiple sources, including Defensa Central, Casemiro once told ESPN Review: “I would like to play in the Premier League.”

In a separate interview, Casemiro spoke about his style of play, which has often been criticised due to his dark arts.

“I think there is a fact that few people know and that is that matches last an average of 97 minutes,” he told Marca.

“And the Real Madrid player has the ball for an average of two and a half minutes. The other 95 are running, covering gaps, making runs , helping.

“Many times we look at the three minutes and say: ‘what quality, how good’. But people forget about the rest .

“A foul is made to stop the opponent’s counterattack, a space is covered and the rival to play behind, this job exists but football is 97 minutes.

“Sometimes that work without the ball is more important. Central defenders or a defensive midfielder like me, who play further back, must always be aware of more things, and there is a lower margin of error, fewer mistakes must be made.”
