Brighton and Hove Albion summer arrival Ansu Fati, signed on loan from Barcelona, could feature against Manchester United this weekend.

In-form Evan Ferguson and Danny Welbeck are both doubts for the Old Trafford clash which could see Fati handed a start.

Sussex World report: "Ferguson though is struggling with a knee issue and was forced to withdraw from the Ireland camp during the break. The young attacker, who has been linked with Tottenham, Man City and Man United of late, was not spotted in training earlier this week and is a doubt for Old Trafford.

"Former United striker Danny Welbeck is also being assessed as he missed the Newcastle victory with a 'minor issue'. It opens the door further for Fati to make his debut and perhaps play in a slightly different role to the one he played for Barcelona."

Fati arrived at Brighton this summer on loan and Sky Sports revealed the contract details included in the move.

They reported: "Brighton are paying 80 per cent of his Barca contract over 10 months until the end of next June - that adds to £160,000 per week for a total of £7m."
