Manchester United will travel to Brentford on Wednesday in the Premier League with the Red Devils hoping to get back to winning ways under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

The match, which kicks-off at 8pm, will see United look to secure their first league win of the new year after drawing 2-2 with Aston Villa on Saturday.

Rangnick’s side have been in hit-and-miss form since he was appointed in November, winning four of his eight games in charge so far.

This club have been criticised for letting a 2-0 lead against Villa slip on the weekend, with the Midlands outfit scoring two goals in the last 13 minutes.

As for the visitors, they have lost their last two league fixtures, most recently a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

Thomas Frank’s side have conceded 11 goals in their last five league matches and only netted three.

The sides head into the clash nine points apart in the Premier League, with the visitors seventh in the table, while Brentford sit 14th.

United have Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay back in contention after their one-game suspensions, while Harry Maguire could return to the starting 11 after returning to the bench against Villa on Saturday - as did Phil Jones.

Attacking duo Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo could also make the trip to West London, the pair were not involved in the match on Saturday due to a dead leg and hip flexor problem.

In terms of unavailable players Paul Pogba remains out due to injury, while Eric Bailly and Hannibal Mejbri are on international duty with Ivory Coast and Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The hosts were without first-choice goalkeeper Daniel Raya, Julian Jeanvier, Tariqe Fosu, Zanka, Charlie Goode and Josh Dasilva for their 3-0 defeat against Liverpool due to injury.

However, Rico Henry was back from a hamstring problem for the Bees on Sunday and lasted 49 minutes before being substituted by fellow returning player Sergi Canos.
