Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic has already issued Man Utd Jadon Sancho verdict amid transfer 'talks'

Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic is already a self-confessed fan of Jadon Sancho's amid transfer links.

Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic has already made it clear he is a big fan of Jadon Sancho amid talk of the Manchester United outcast returning to the German club. It has been a frustrating time for Sancho at Old Trafford, with the picey winger struggling to live up to his price tag.

But things took a turn earlier this eason when Sancho fell out with Ten Hag after the Dutchman called him out for his training performances. Sancho responded on social media, defending himself, and Ten Hag did not like it. The winger was frozen out and was warned he would remain frozen out until he apologised.

The apology never came, with both men standing their ground, and Sancho is now likely to be offloaded by United in some way during the January transfer window. Florian Plettenberg has reported that a loan deal is being discussed, writing on X: "Exclusive News Jadon #Sancho: ManUtd and Borussia Dortmund are actively working on a loan - as confirmed to me from England. Talks about about a six-months-loan ongoing.

"Sancho has to leave ManUtd in winter. The 23 y/o is eager to return to Dortmund. All parties involved are now working on a solution. Now, it primarily depends on Manchester United. For the transfer to succeed, ManUtd must be open to a loan."

Interestingly, current Dortmund boss Terzic has already spoken about Sancho in glowing terms perviously. Terzic managed Sancho as interim boss during the 2020/21 season, and after a particularly inspiring performance from the winger in the February of that year, Terzic said: "I'm very happy how Jadon presents himself lately. He shows it as well with scorer-points. He scores again and gets assists in the recent weeks.  I talked about it a lot previously. It's not like he forgot how to play football. He's a young lad. We were very spoiled with how much he has done for the club in recent history.

"We tried to get him back into his form. There were two ways of doing that. First, via the way how we dealt with him personally, talking about a lot of things and having a lot of discussions in general. We also did individual analysis' of him.  Secondly we tried to help him as a team as well. We put him on the other side. He now comes a lot more from the left side instead. He does a lot of combinations here and there. Primarily today, with Giovanni Reyna, Jude Bellingham and Raphael Guerreiro.

"He has a lot of pace again. That's something that we missed in the past. Now he rewards himself again. We were able to create an atmosphere in training with him and everyone else where we can try and ask for a lot of aggression every day. He currently lives it and he rewards himself with his contributions and wins."

After his interim spell in charge Terzic returned to his sporting director role at Dortmund before later being appointed as full-time head coach during the following season. He took Dortmund to within an inch of the Bundesliga title last season, but this season has been tougher in the absence of Jude Bellingham, who joined Real Madrid in the summer. Dortmund are currently in fifth spot, and Terzic may well look to re-sign Sancho in a bid to spark his side's season to life.
