Manchester United and Aston Villa lock horns once again, when they meet in the Premier League on Saturday, for a 5.30pm kick-off.
The Red Devils beat Steven Gerrard’s men when they played on Monday night, with Scott McTominay nodding home in the early stages to provide the only goal of the game.
That strengthened United’s imperious record against the West Midlands outfit, with just one defeat from the last 20 meetings in all competitions.
However, that solitary loss did come earlier this campaign, when Villa won 1-0 at Old Trafford thanks to Kortney Hause’s late header.
A lot has changed at both clubs since that September encounter - namely the managers - while both replacements could do with positive results after a mixed run of recent form.
For the visitors, it may be just one defeat in seven since Ralf Rangnick took charge, but there’s real concern at how United are performing, with opposition sides finding it too easy to play through the 13-time Premier League champions.
That was the case with Villa during Monday’s FA Cup game, and a similarly poor display on Saturday will only heap the pressure further onto Rangnick.
The German also has a few injury and suspension concerns ahead of the game, with two players definitely ruled out, while there are doubts surrounding the fitness of four first-team stars.
What’s the latest team news?
Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay will miss the trip to Villa Park after picking up a fifth booking of the season in the 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the start of the month.
There are other defensive concerns with Harry Maguire and Phil Jones both doubts, meaning Rangnick could have just two fit centre-backs available in Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.
There is also uncertainty surrounding the fitness of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, although along with Maguire and Jones, all four are expected to be involved in some capacity at Villa Park.
"I think they will be available," Rangnick said in his pre-match press conference. "They only trained yesterday for the first time. Cristiano yesterday, Harry the day before yesterday.
“We have to wait for the final session this afternoon but as it seems right now they should be available for tomorrow [Saturday]."
Regardless of whether the quartet are fit, Rangnick will have to make at least two alterations from the side which started on Monday.
David De Gea will almost certainly start between the sticks, while Alex Telles is likely to come in for Shaw, and Diogo Dalot or Aaron Wan-Bissaka will probably start at right-back.
In the centre of the pitch, Nemanja Matic is the most obvious choice to replace McTominay, although the lesser-seen Donny van de Beek is also an option, with Fred expected to start as well.
Marcus Rashford could be selected out wide despite widespread talk of his poor form of late. Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Jesse Lingard are also options in these areas, while Bruno Fernandes will most likely start against the side whom he missed a late penalty against in September.
Up front, Ronaldo’s potential return could pave the way for two centre-forwards, with Cavani the other option, or Rangnick could stick with his 4-2-3-1 shape.
As for Villa, they might hand debuts to Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Digne, both of whom signed in midweek. Neither are expected to start at Villa Park due to match fitness, but could occupy places on the bench.
Centre-midfielder John McGinn is suspended, while Bertrand Traore and Trezeguet are away at the Africa Cup of Nations, and Marvelous Nkamba and Leon Bailly remain on the sidelines.
Aston Villa (4-3-3): Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Mings, Target; Luiz, Sanson, Ramsey; Wakins, Ings, Buendia.
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles; Fred, Matic; Greenwood, Fernandes, Sancho; Cavani.
