Legendary Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel will be the star of an upcoming live event at Manchester’s O2 Apollo.

The former No.1, who spent nine years at Old Trafford and finished his playing career at Manchester City, will be discussing his illustrious football journey which saw him win five Premier League titles, three FA Cups, the Champions League, and Euro 1992 with his native Denmark.

Father of current Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper, ‘Big Pete’ is hosting the event to celebrate the release of his new book: One: My Autobiography, and every guest who attends will receive a free copy.

When is the event?

Described as an ‘in conversation event’, Schmeichel will visit the London Palladium, Manchester 02 Apollo and De Montford Hall, Leicester.

He visits Manchester on Monday 4 October with the show beginning at 6:30pm.

How can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be obtained here, and they range between £23.50 and £52.60. The show will last for 110 minutes with a 20-minute intermission.

What does the event entail?

Schmeichel will relive all the glory from his Manchester United days, including “that last-gasp Treble-clinching win over Bayern Munich and stories about Old Trafford’s galaxy of stars and visionary manager.  He’ll also discuss his time playing for the Danish national team and their remarkable rise to triumph in the European Football Championship in 1992.”

The ex-Red Devil will also discuss nearly dying at age 15, and his son’s achievements with Leicester, which have seen him collect Premier League and FA Cup winners’ medals.
