Patrick Dorgu has been named in the Manchester United starting line up for their FA Cup fourth round clash with Leicester City on Friday night.

Ruben Amorim has made two changes to the side that lost to Crystal Palace last weekend, with Dorgu and Rasmus Hojlund selected in place of Lisandro Martinez and Alejandro Garnacho.

Dorgu only signed for United last weekend but has been thrown into the line up at the first possible opportunity as Amorim looks to bring him up to speed with his new surroundings as quickly as possible. There is also a place on the bench for fellow January addition Ayden Heaven, while academy goalkeeper Hubert Graczyk features in a senior match day squad for the first time in his career.

Amorim explains his selection

Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Amorim explained his line up and in particular why Dorgu has been chosen from the start.

“I think he needs to start playing. He did very well this week. We need wingers, even the left foot sometimes in the opposite side, we can change sides," he told ITV Sport. “The wingers are really important for the way we see the game. So, he’s a talented young guy. He’s going to be nervous a little bit in the beginning, so he will try to be simple in the beginning, but he’s a talented kid, and he’s going to be okay.”
