Manchester United have already been linked with a number of exciting transfer targets ahead of the summer window and all signs are pointing to a busy period for the Red Devils. Not only are they looking to bring in fresh faces but several current players could be on their way out the door as Sir Jim Ratcliffe hopes to inspire changes at Old Trafford.

United are being made to work for a top four finish this season. They are currently sixth in the table, two points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are certainly not struggling without Harry Kane as much as many predicted. However, it is dark horses Aston Villa who are ahead of the two, with a five-point cushion over Erik ten Hag's side.

United have mainly struggled with their threat in front of goal this season, having scored considerably less than those around them. With just 35 on the board so far, they have the lowest goal return in the top half of the table. So, while recruiting new defenders seems to be a priority for the Reds, they are also considering additional attacking options.

SportBild has reported that United are 'putting out feelers' for Bayern Munich's rising star Mathys Tel, who could be looking to take on a new challenge at the end of the season. The 18-year-old has had a number of English teams enquire about him previously but he has 'blocked all attempts' of approach, until now.

Tel's advisor Gadiri Camara told the German outlet that the topic of his client potentially leaving Bayern is no longer closed off for discussion.

"We have to consider all options because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player."

The news that Bayern will part ways with manager Thomas Tuchel in the summer could impact a lot of players' decisions at the club. The former Chelsea boss has fallen to the pressure of this season's Bundesliga as Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen enter the home stretch for the title, with an eight point lead and no defeats on the board.

SportBild claims that Tel has been looking to assert himself at Bayern but he has had limited time on the pitch this season. The 18-year-old has still managed to contribute six goals and four assists so far but he is yet to start a league match this term. Tel is now 'seriously thinking about a change' as the end of the season approaches.

The versatile winger — who can play on either side as well as up front — is under contract until 2027 and is already valued at €50 million (£43m) by Transfermarkt.
