28 Premier League property hotspots across UK ranked by price for Man City, Newcastle, Man Utd stars and more - gallery

Big-money Premier League earners tend to choose the most luxurious of UK neighbourhoods and here are how 28 of them rank in average house price.

Manchester United and Manchester City stars take over Cheshire, Liverpool and Everton legends flock to Formby and Newcastle stars are turning a student hub into the Golden Triangle.

When not starring on the pitch, Premier League professionals look to find somewhere near their football clubs and training centres to call home with their families.

Given the eye-watering salaries that professional players earn, more often than not the locations they choose to purchase are known for their luxurious homes and famous neighbours.

Many Manchester stars travel out of the city centre and into nearby Cheshire when looking for a property, with certain areas of the county known as the Golden Triangle thanks to the trend.

The Golden Triangle is a term also applied to streets in Newcastle that are being turned from student house party strongholds into modern mansions for big-money earners.

Below we visit some of the neighbourhoods in London, Birmingham, on the South coast and Leeds, as well as those in the North East and North West where players are known to live.

These figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show which of the Premier League footballer hotspots is the most expensive.

The figures are based on new ONS analysis of HM Land Registry data on prices paid for properties in the year to September 2022. The figures show the median house price in the neighbourhood for the year to September 2022.
