Manchester United gave their fans plenty to smile about on Tuesday night as they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The Red Devils won the competition last term, beating Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley to claim a major trophy in their first season under Erik ten Hag.

Alejandro Garnacho and Casemiro struck twice in six first-half minutes to put United in control of the tie before Anthony Martial sealed the win for United 10 minutes into the second half as he finished brilliantly at the back post from Casemiro’s cross.
