Man Utd have made another important signing at youth level with the striker signing his first professional deal.

Ethan Williams has signed his first professional contract with Manchester United.

The 18-year-old forward played a key role for United U18s in their historic treble win last season and has officially penned pro terms with the club, having already signed a pre-agreement earlier in the year.

Williams, who plays predominately on the left wing, netted 17 goals and nine assists in all competitions as United won the Premier League North, the Premier League Cup and the Premier League National title at his age bracket.

In the final Premier League National final against Chelsea Stamford Bridge, Williams stole the show with a goal and an assist in their 2-1 win.

Williams has been involved in a number of first-team training sessions during Erik ten Hag's reign and has been involved in pre-season training this week ahead of a possible first senior outing next week. United begin their pre-season schedule when they face Rosenborg on Monday before facing Rangers in Edinburgh a week on Saturday and the teenage forward is one of those in with a chance of being involved.

Williams began his football career at local side Rochdale before he initially joined United at Under-14 level in 2019. He is expected to feature at U21 level next season.
