Manchester United picked up a 1-0 win away at Wolves this weekend with in-form Marcus Rashford scoring the winner in the second-half. The Red Devils have risen up to 4th in the Premier League table and are two points above 5th position Tottenham Hotspur.
Erik ten Hag’s side have the opportunity to bolster their squad with January transfer window now open ahead of the second-half of the season and have some big decisions to make. They have a few fringe players and youngsters who they may well let head out the exit door to get some game time.
Europe is packed with young emerging talent and there are plenty of hidden gems in various different countries who United should look at snapping up. With that in mind, here are 10 players who United should be targeting this winter as they eye their return to Champions League in the next campaign...
1. Benjamin Sesko, Red Bull Salzburg
The 19-year-old has a bright future ahead of him in the game and has scored 18 goals already for Red Bull Salzburg’s first-team.
2. Xavi Simons, PSV
He only made the switch to PSV last summer from PSG but has been a standout player in the Eredivisie during the first-half of this season and is destined for bigger things.
3. Azzedine Ounahi, Angers

4. Nicolas Melamed, Espanyol
The 21-year-old has already made 88 appearances so far in his career, chipping in with eight goals and five assists, and could be worth a gamble by Erik ten Hag.
