Jack Grealish shared his love and support for pop star Lewis Capaldi as the star performed an emotional Glastonbury set while battling Tourette's Syndrome.

The singer had cancelled all his shows in the run-up to the famous British festivals but admitted he was still struggling on the Pyramid Stage during his set on Saturday afternoon.

Early in his performance, Capaldi admitted that he was losing his voice and called for help from the tens of thousands in the crowd. Later, the Glastonbury audience sang the lyrics of hit track 'Someone You Loved' to the star as he struggled to make it through the track while visibly affected by Tourette's.

Capaldi opened up about his Tourette’s diganosis earlier this year and in April shared that his ‘twitch became out of control’ as he worked to control tics while performing live.

The emotional clip went viral online with social media users wishing the BRIT Award winner well and sharing their emotion at the crowd's voice in helping the star. One of those fans was Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish, who branded Capaldi the GOAT - Greatest of All Time - when he shared the video. He wrote: "The absolute [goat emoji] man."

Football fans and music lovers praised Grealish for showing his public support of Capaldi with followers thanking him for his 'lovely Tweet'.

One wrote: "Finding out Jack likes Lewis Capaldi makes me love Jack more."

Another added: "Two goats together- thanks to both of you for letting the public share your journey."

Opening up about his mental health while on stage at Glastonbury, Capaldi said: “I recently took three weeks off just because I’ve been none stop the past year and I wanted to take a wee break from my head for my mental health. I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it’s obviously so incredible so I just want to thank you all for coming out. I was scared but you’ve really made me feel at ease so thank you very much for that.

“I feel like I’ll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks so you probably won’t see much of me for the rest of the year maybe even. But when I do come back, when I do see you, I hope you’re all still up for watching.”
