The transfer window is in full swing with clubs around the globe using this time to bolster their squads ahead of the new season.
Manchester City, who are looking to win a third consecutive Premier League title in the new campaign, have wasted no time in the market.
Pep Guardiola’s side have signed Erling Haaland, Stefan Ortega and Kalvin Phillips, with the latter arriving at the Etihad Stadium for £45m on Monday.
Phillips’ move to the Sky Blues puts him amongst the 10 most expensive English players, with the 26-year-old one of five City stars on that list, while cross-town rivals Manchester United have also spent big on talent from England.
The Red Devils have added just one player to their squad so far, with Tyrell Malacia sealing a £15m move to Old Trafford on Tuesday.
With that being said, ManchesterWorld takes a look at the 10 most expensive English signings of all time.
