The latest Manchester City news.

The Football Association has announced Manchester City have been fined £120,000.

It comes after their players surrounded referee Simon Hooper in the 94th minute of their 3-3 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League fixture earlier in December.

Manchester City’s players were furious as Hooper prevented Jack Grealish from having a one-on-one chance against Guglielmo Vicario in injury-time of the 3-3 draw.

The incident occurred as Erling Haaland was fouled by Emerson Royal around the centre circle, but the striker immediately got back to his feet and played the through ball for Grealish to latch onto. Hooper had initially indicated that play could continue before blowing his whistle and ordering a free-kick to be taken instead.

The decision angered the City players. But the Football Association has now fined City. It follows the club admitting their players behaved in an improper way.

An FA statement read: "Manchester City FC have been fined £120,000 after their players surrounded a match official at the Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday 3 December.
