The highest-value Premier League starting XI - including Man City & Man Utd stars

We take a look at the most valuable starting XI in the Premier League - including Manchester City and Manchester United players.

The Premier League is home to some of the best footballers in the world and is regarded as the no.1 league in Europe by UEFA.

Each season the 20 clubs in the competition spend huge amounts of money on players to bolster their hopes ahead of the new campaign, with Darwin Nunez’s £85m move to Liverpool the biggest fee spent so far this summer.

However, this falls £15m short of the league’s record fee spent on one player, with Jack Grealish’s £100m move from Aston Villa to Manchester City last summer holding that title.

Despite the amount of money being splashed on signings in the past few seasons there are some players who are valued higher than those who have had a recent big-money move.

For example, those bought several seasons ago for lesser fees and have developed into a key player for their club, or individuals who have broken into the first team from the youth academy and are now an established member of the squad.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the most valuable starting XI in the Premier League ahead of the new campaign, according to Transfermarkt - with several City and Manchester United players included.

However, this falls £15m short of the league’s record fee spent on one player, with Jack Grealish’s £100m move from Aston Villa to Manchester City last summer holding that title.
