Manchester City are now preparing for a Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s men picked up another important win over the weekend as they saw off Leeds United to remain on course to successfully defend their Premier League crown. With an FA Cup final also in the bag, City now turn their attention to part three of their treble bit, facing Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Ahead of the game, City have been dealt an injury blow, with Nathan Ake suffering an injury during the weekend’s win over Leeds United. But apart from Ake, Guardiola will have a full squad to choose from heading to the Bernabeu. Guardiola wasn’t asked about any further injury issues during his press conference, with everyone else seemingly fit, including Kevin De Bruyne who was given the rest he needed before starting the Leeds game.
As for Real Madrid, they have lost Dani Ceballos to a muscular overload. Ceballos felt the strain in Los Blancos’ final training session ahead of Saturday’s Copa del Rey final, and he will be looking to return in time for the second leg. Ferland Mendy is also out as he battles to return from a calf injury, while Luka Modric is a doubt as he looks to regain full fitness.
