Manchester City have at times this season been criticised for an inability to find a decisive goal in the games, but the stats show Pep Guardiola’s squad actually boast the two most-creative players in the Premier League.
City have managed to find the back of the net 68 times this season, with only Liverpool beating that tally so far.
But, we’ve looked through the numbers to see who FBref rate as the players with the most shot-creating actions per 90 minutes, and it’s City who are the league’s standout performers.
FBref state shot-creating actions are ‘the two offensive actions directly leading to a shot, such as passes, dribbles and drawing fouls’.
From the top 15 this season in the Premier League, three come from City, more than Liverpool and any other side.
