Manchester City players have been chosen in five of the six positions for the supporter-selected XI.

Seven Manchester City players are among the nominees for Premier League Fan Team of the Season.

Sixty nominees have been selected across 18 different clubs, with voting open until Monday 27 May.

City have seven players shortlisted in five of the six nominees. Ederson is up for goalkeeper position, while Kyler is among 10 possible full-backs that can be selected. Centre-back is the only position where no City players have been chosen, although there are nominees from Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Everton.

Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne are two of the central midfielders selected by the Premier League, while Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva can be picked from the attacking midfield options. Up front, Erling Haaland faces competition from the likes of Ollie Watkins and Alexander Isak.

With City winning the title and creating history by claiming a fourth consecutive first-place finish, there are likely to be several of Pep Guardiola’s squad included in the team. Foden, in particular, seems nailed on after a campaign that saw him score 19 goals and win two of three Premier League Player of the Year awards.

Along with Foden, Rodri and Haaland are up for City’s end-of-season award, with the latter also claiming the Golden Boot in 2023/24. The trio are likely to be part of  the fan-chosen team, with the winners set to be confirmed on Tuesday 28 May.
