Pep Guardiola gives update on Man City January plans and Kalvin Phillips latest
Pep Guardiola has said he does not expect any major transfer arrivals during the January window.
The Manchester City manager is expecting three of his four injured players to be back in the coming weeks, meaning he could have an almost fully fit squad by the end of the month. Guardiola, therefore, does not expect to go into the market looking for significant improvements.

“I don’t know, I don’t talk about the transfer window. Apparently, like in the past, we start the season with the same players and finish with the same players. Maybe one, but I don’t think it will happen, but you never know.”
One player City are expecting to sign this month is Claudio Echeverri, although the teenager will be immediately loaned back to his current side, River Plate.
“The club didn't inform me anything about that. No news,” was Guardiola’s update, when asked for the latest on the transfer.

“I don't know, only I said the last five days [he has been] sick, so he could not train. The rest, the transfer market, I said many times, I don’t know,” he said.
“Txiki [Begiristain] is there and what is going to happen will happen. I’m not going to anticipate anything here because I don’t know the desires of the players. Some of them I know and some I don’t know.”
