'Maybe he..' - Man City boss reveals Erling Haaland injury update ahead of Crystal Palace

Pep Guardiola isn't expecting to have Erling Haaland back for the visit of Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

Haaland missed the weekend win over Luton Town with a foot injury and also wasn’t named in the travelling squad for the midweek Champions League encounter against Red Star Belgrade.

Speaking on Friday, Guardiola said: "Arrive today, we see the doctors and we will see. He's had treatment [away]. Hopefully he can travel to Saudi, tomorrow after the game, we see if he plays the first game or second. I don't think so [play vs Palace], maybe he surprises me.

"No. Not fractured, just stress. Sometimes players recover quickly, longer. Day by day, week by week, how he feels. The moment he doesn't have pain he will play."
