Manchester City got off to an ideal start on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season as they swept aside West Ham United thanks to a brace of goals from big-money summer signing Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian has taken to the English top flight like a duck to water after some early doubts from the media and rival supporters, and he’ll be hoping to build on his debut success with yet more goals this weekend.

Pep Guardiola’s side has an extraordinary 100 percent record against Bournemouth in the Premier League, with 10 wins out of 10. In fact, Manchester City have never lost to the Cherries in league competition, as they’ve won 15 of the 17 meetings between the two sides.

Bournemouth did however enjoy a glorious welcome back to the Premier League on Saturday as they soared to a 2-0 win over Aston Villa, and they’ll take a lot of confidence from that. They might not be as easy of an opposition as many might think.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch Manchester City vs Bournemouth.

Unfortunately, with kick off at 3pm on Saturday, City vs Bournemouth comes under the traditional Saturday 2.45pm to 5.15pm blackout, and so it won’t be available to watch on live television in the United Kingdom.

The ‘blackout’ is a scheme in place which stops all Premier League 3pm matches from being shown on television.

This is to try and encourage supporters to go and watch teams lower down in the football pyramid. Without it, many non-league and lower division sides may not sell enough tickets and could likely go out of business.

However, you can still watch the highlights of City vs Bournemouth after the game. Highlights will be readily available on the Sky Sports YouTube channel about 15-30 minutes after the final whistle.

Analysis and all the key moments will also be shown on Match of the Day, which is aired on BBC One at 10.20pm on Saturday evening.
