Manchester City could be in for a busy last few days of the January transfer window, especially when it comes to outgoings.

The Sky Blues are yet to sign any players this month, but have seen the permanent departures of Ferran Torres to Barcelona and Patrick Roberts to Sunderland.

Academy stars Taylor Harwood-Bellis, James Trafford and Tommy Doyle have also left the club on loan for the remainder of the season.

Now it seems that the future of two other City youngsters are up in the air, with James McAtee and Morgan Rogers being linked with move elsewhere.

The former is a key figure for their Under-23 team, featuring 20 times in all youth competitions. His 19 goals and five assists for the Sky Blues’ academy has earned three appearances for the senior team so far.

According to the Daily Mail, Rangers have ‘enquired’ as to whether they can take the 19-year-old on loan until the end of the season, with Swansea City and Queens Park Rangers also interested in the midfielder.

Following questions regarding links to McAtee, Rangers’ boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst said: "We spoke with many possibilities we want to add and so far I don’t have any news other than Amad is joining us.

"We’re still open and have to be ready for the remainder of the next days. But I won’t confirm or talk about other names than the players we have here and what we have signed."

In terms of Rogers, reports suggest that City are considering recalling the winger from Bournemouth, after he has made only one start in 15 Championship appearances.

As per the Manchester Evening News, if recalled, this would mean cause the previously agreed loan-to-buy clause to be void.

The MEN claim upon joining the Cherries in the summer, City agreed to the option of selling the 19-year-old at the end of the deal for an initial £12m, with an extra £3m in add-ons. However, the fee would differ if Bournemouth were promoted to the Premier League come the end of the campaign.

They add that, despite this clause, due to Rogers not making the required number of appearances so far, it is doubtful it would become active.

If recalled, reports suggest that Huddersfield Town could be interested in taking the winger on loan until the end of the season, according to YorkshireLive.

The deadline for clubs to complete business during the winter window is Monday 31 January.
