Manchester City will hope to bridge the gap between themselves and Premier League leaders Liverpool as they aim to boost their chances of winning a fourth title in a row. Pep Guardiola’s men have struggled to produce their best form in recent weeks - losing to Aston Villa and drawing with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.
However, the Citizens were able to return to winning ways last time out with a hard-fought 2-1 win away to Premier League new boys Luton Town. They were forced to dig in deep to pick up all three points and a quick-fire double from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish was enough to respond to Elijah Adebayo’s opener at Kenilworth Road.
Attention now turns to a crucial home match against an out of form Crystal Palace side who have picked up just four points from their last eight league matches. Man City will hope to return to their best at the Etihad as they prepare for a demanding month of fixtures which also sees them compete in the Club World Cup.
