Manchester City eye Joshua Kimmich
City are ‘exploring’ a late transfer window move for Bayern Munich ace Joshua Kimmich, according to Football Insider. His long-term future in Germany is up in the air under Vincent Kompany.
Kimmich, who is 29-years-old, has been on the books of Bayern since joining them back in 2025. Prior to linking up with his current club, he had spells at Stuttgart and RB Leipzig.
He has made 419 appearances in all competitions and has scored 43 goals. City could offer him the chance to test himself in the Premier League though and provide him with a change of scene.

City have underperformed this term but will hope their victory over Chelsea can change their fortunes. Speaking after the win, Guardiola said: “We weren’t exceptional, but we take the ball a lot and made a lot of passes.
“They don’t know the movement of (Omar) Marmoush yet but in the situation, we are in a 3-1 win over Chelsea, and it is really important for us ahead of our final on Wednesday and the rest of the Premier League.”
Update on Manchester United links to Sverre Nypan
United face competition from the likes of City, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion in pursuit of Rosenborg midfielder Sverre Nypan, according to TBR Football. Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille and Ajax in Europe are also said to to be in the frame.

Hide AdNypan, who is 18-years-old, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and his current club will face a battle to keep hold of him amid interest from England and elsewhere. He joined them back in 2020 from Nardo and hasn’t looked back since.
He penned his first professional deal with Rosenborg back in 2022 and was handed an extension only a matter of months after that. The youngster has become a key player for their first-team and has made 60 appearances in all competitions so far, chipping in with 13 goals.
Spurs face competition though and back in December, reporter Graeme Bailey told United in Focus about United’s links: “It’s coming to January now and his club are pushing him for a decision. That is what I am hearing at the moment. Rosenborg are hoping for a breakthrough. Rosenborg want to know what’s happening.
“They’re hopeful, I would expect something in the next couple of weeks. I imagine we will know by early January if he is going to move, which all indications are he will.”
