Manchester City are still holding out hope of another treble after an exciting week of Champions League action. Pep Guardiola’s men are still in the thick of the Premier League title race, while they are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Still, it is likely Guardiola will want to tweak his squad a little this summer in a bid to stay ahead of the curve. With that in mind, we have put together a possible new City starting XI for next season based on recent transfer rumours. Take a look at the XI below.
1. GK - Ederson - €40m
Ederson is City's undisputed starter.
2. LB - Josko Gvardiol - €75m
Gvardiol has found a nice spot at left-back, and he has been a top performer. Nathan Aké will be a challenger.
3. CB - Ruben Dias - €80m
Dias will be a starting defender.
4. CB - Manuel Akanji - €42m
Akanji could win the race for centre-back, but it will be a close race, with Aké and Gvardiol also potential starters here.
