The Norwegian signed a five-year deal with the Sky Blues and will officially become their player on July 1.

Pep Guardiola’s side won a second consecutive Premier League title last season but failed to lift any other pieces of silverware.

The Catalan will be hoping the arrival of Haaland will help their chances of capturing the one trophy that has eluded them since being bought by the Abu Dhabi United Group, the Champions League.

However, it seems Guardiola isn’t satisfied with just one new face this summer with rumours he could be in the market to bolster his ranks in two other positions.

City and Premier League rivals Liverpool are said to be ‘willing’ to trigger a €50m release clause in Gavi’s Barcelona contract, as per Marca.

The 17-year-old was a key player at the Nou Camp last season and is tipped as one of the biggest prospects in football.

If Guardiola is adamant on bringing the Spanish midfielder to the Etihad Stadium this summer, then he will need to activate the clause as soon as possible.

Gavi was named the third-best player in Goal.com’s NXGN 2022 list and has represented Spain 10 times, scoring once.

City ‘closing in’ on Issak Toure

City are interested in signing Le Havre centre-back Issak Toure, according to L’Equipe.

The French outlet claims Guardiola’s side could secure the 19-year-old’s signature in the ‘coming days’ and will then send him out on loan to their affiliate club Troyes ahead of the new campaign.

They add that Toure has already been to the Sky Blues’ training ground and was ‘particularly enthralled’ by what he saw.

Toure, who has represented France six times at Under-21 level, featured 17 times for Le Havre last campaign.
