Man City vs RB Leipzig injury latest: Five out for Champions League clash - gallery

RB Leipzig have several players out for the last-16 second leg against Manchester City.

Manchester City host RB Leipzig in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday, with the score tied at 1-1 from the first meeting in Germany last month.

Benfica, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and AC Milan have already secured their place in the quarter-finals of the competition, with City favourites to join them this week. But Leipzig will offer stiff opposition, with Marco Rose’s side third in the Bundesliga and they head to the Etihad on the back of a 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Leipzig also showed their quality in the second half of the first leg when they were the better side and got back into the game with a Josko Gvardiol header, after Riyad Mahrez had given City the lead in the first period.

The Blues have a fully fit squad for Tuesday’s game, with Phil Foden, John Stones and Aymeric Laporte all returning from returning knocks. However, the same can’t be said for Leipzig, who have five absentees for the second leg, including key man Christopher Nkunku. Dani Olmo isn’t included in that number, with the Spanish midfielder returning from a knock in the weekend win over Monchengladbach.

Here’s the full list of injured players ahead of Tuesday’s game…
