Man City vs Man Utd team news: Rodri misses the derby, Rashford starts & Dias and Ronaldo benched
Rodri has not been named in Manchester City’s squad to face Manchester United on Sunday.
The midfielder has started every Premier League match so far this term, but is absent for the derby, with City saying on their official website that he ‘isn’t fully fit’.

Hide AdMeanwhile, Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte have been named on the bench. Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji start at the heart of defence, while Jack Grealish has been named in the starting line-up.
Erling Haaland starts in his first Manchester derby, with Phil Foden expected to play from the right wing.
John Stones and Kalvin Phillips were ruled out prior to the game due to injury, and therefore weren’t named in the matchday squad.
As for United, Marcus Rashford has recovered in time to make Erik ten Hag’s first derby XI, meaning Cristiano Ronaldo is on the bench.

Hide AdSo too, is Casemiro, with Scott McTominay retaining his spot in midfield alongside Christian Eriksen. Bruno Fernandes is set to play in an attacking midfield role, with Antony and Jadon Sancho in the wide areas.
Anthony Martial is also among the substitutes, as are Luke Shaw and Facundo Pellistri, with the latter involved in a matchday squad for the first time this season.
