The semi-finals of the Champions League are almost upon us, with Manchester City welcoming Real Madrid to the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening, while Villarreal travel to Liverpool on Wednesday.
City boss Pep Guardiola guided his team to the final of the competition last year but fell to a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea - his first loss as a manager in the last-two of the Champions League.
The Catalan now looks to reach the final for the second time in as many years but faces the task of beating the 13-time winners Real over two legs.
Guardiola will be hoping his side can repeat their last-16 performance against Los Blancos in 2020 when the Sky Blues beat the La Liga club 4-2 on aggregate.
Despite this, the Catalan hasn’t had the best of times in the semi-finals of the competition, losing more than he has won.
