All the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Manchester City as pre-season takes hold.

Manchester City are already preparing for the new season after enjoying the most successful of campaigns last time around.

City completed a historic treble last term, and they have raised the bar of expectation to an almost impossible height ahead of the coming campaign. Pep Guardiola’s men will be expected to compete for titles on all fronts again, and that means new signings and exits this summer as the club look to remain at the very top of the game.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Etihad Stadium.

Silva interest

City have already lost Ilkay Gundogan this summer, and they could be set to lose another key player.

Bernardo Silva is being linked with a move away this summer, and unsurprisingly, there is reported interest from Saudi Arabia, which has been a trend this window. According to CBS Sports, Al Hilal are readying a bid worth just over £60million for Silva as they close in on Sergio Milinkovic-Savic.

Silva has two years remaining on his contract at this stage, but Al-Hilal are not the first club he has been linked with this summer.

Gvardiol move backed

City have been backed to wrap up a deal for RB Leipzig star Josko Gvardiol this summer.

Journalist Dean Jones has said: “It will be a fantastic signing for them. It would change a lot to be honest, because it makes them even stronger in terms of the thinking of this team. It’s not just what he brings physically, it’s what he understands about the game and what he brings in terms of a winning mentality.”

Jones added: “People constantly talking about this with him in the Croatian set up about just his desire and his focus. And you have to have that now at the level Man City are playing at. So yeah, I definitely think that Gvardiol is a goer.”
