Man City are in the hunt for Champions League qualification to salvage a poor season.

Man City climbed to third in the Premier League after a dramatic 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night. Bernardo Silva gave Pep Guardiola's side an early lead in the match before the visitors equalised from a Marcus Rashford penalty in what was a close contest. It looked certain to end level before Matheus Nunes popped up at the back-post to fire in a dramatic winning goal in the final seconds of extra-time.

It is a result that moves City a step closer towards their aim of Champions League qualification as they look to salvage a poor campaign with a return to the top table of European football. City not only want the prestige that comes with playing in the premier club competition, they could also do with the huge financial benefit as they look to comply with PSR and FFP rules.
