Man City predicted XI vs Fulham - will Erling Haaland play? Plus nine changes expected

We’re tipping Pep Guardiola to make wholesale alterations for the visit of Fulham.

Pep Guardiola is expected to ring the changes for the visit of Fulham on Saturday.

The Manchester City boss managed to rest a few players in the midweek win over Sevilla, while he also ensured several others had limited minutes against the Spanish side. Ederson, John Stones and Nathan Ake didn’t play at all while Joao Cancelo, Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne were only introduced off the bench in the second half.

Jack Grealish was taken off at half-time with Guardiola claiming after the match that City ‘need him for the next game’, while Ilkay Gundogan was also withdrawn in the second half.

Manuel Akanji missed the game altogether with a slight knock but Guardiola said in Friday’s press conference that the defender is available for the clash with Fulham, while also giving an update on Erling Haaland.

“He is much better. We will decide today. It’s a good step, he started training,” said the City boss on Friday. “We will have training this afternoon and we will see.”

Elsewhere, the only players missing are Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips, both of whom still have an outside chance of making Gareth Southgate’s England World Cup squad. With all that in mind, here’s how we think City will line up on Saturday.
