Man City predicted XI to face Aston Villa - two changes expected with huge Jack Grealish dilemma

Find out how we think Pep Guardiola will line up for the final game of the season.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will have plenty of tough decisions to make when he selects his XI to take on Aston Villa this weekend.

The Villans head to the Etihad for a 4pm kick-off on Sunday, and should the visitors pick up any points, it will likely spoil City’s title hopes.

The Sky Blues are a point ahead of second-place Liverpool, meaning they need to better or equal the result of the Merseysiders in order to win a sixth Premier League title.

There had been concerns about Guardiola’s defensive options ahead of Sunday’s game, but they were given a boost this week with news that John Stones and Kyle Walker were back in training, while the City boss said in his pre-match press conference they could be available for the final day of the season.

In midfield and attack, Guardiola doesn’t have the same injury concerns, but he does have different issues.

The Catalan will have to decide whether to recall Ilkay Gundoagn to midfield, or stick with the same trio from last week’s 2-2 draw with West Ham United.

As for the offensive areas, there are decisions to be made about whether Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden return to the side, after City started with Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus and Jack Grealish against the Hammers.

For the latter, Sunday will be a huge game as he could beat his boyhood side to claim a first major piece of silverware in his career.

However, in general, Guardiola has tended not to start the ex-Villa skipper in high-profile games, and could do the same against Steven Gerrard’s side.
