Man City predicted line-up v Man Utd: Four changes with Jack Grealish to miss out - gallery

Pep Guardiola provided a small hint of his selection plans during the FA Cup win over Luton Town.

Manchester City head into Sunday’s derby looking to extend an unbeaten run of 18 games in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola’s side have gone nearly three months without a defeat since losing 1-0 against Aston Villa in early December, and are heavy favourites heading into the Manchester derby.

Tuesday’s 6-2 FA Cup win over Luton Town kept alive the team’s hopes of claiming another treble, with Erling Haaland scoring five goals in the victory at Kenilworth Road. Kevin De Bruyne set up four of those, with the pair’s link-up play looking ominous ahead of the clash against Manchester United.

The Belgian provided two assists for Haaland in last season’s 6-3 derby win at the Etihad, with City’s no.9 netting a hat-trick and setting up two of Phil Foden’s goals that afternoon. Haaland also scored twice in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford in October and will feel confident that he can add to his 27 goals this season when United make the short journey to East Manchester.

But there was a sour note to City’s midweek win at Luton, as Jack Grealish was replaced with what appeared to be a recurrence of a groin injury. The 28-year-old cut a dejected figure as he made his way off the pitch and pulled his hood up over his face as he sat on the bench.

He, therefore, is expected to miss Sunday’s derby and Guardiola will have to make at least one change to his side. The Catalan provided a small hint of who could start against United, with four senior players not called from the substitutes bench in Tuesday’s win.

With that in mind, here’s how we expect City to line up for the game…
