Manchester City will look to continue their FA Cup defence this weekend then they host Newcastle United in the quarter-finals. Pep Guardiola's side thumped Luton Town 6-2 in the previous round, with Mateo Kovacic adding to Erling Haaland's incredible five-goal haul.
City have had a rare full week to recover and prepare after leaving Anfield with a 1-1 draw last weekend. The Blues took a first-half lead through John Stones but were made to defend resolutely after Alexis Mac Allister levelled from the spot and would count themselves a little fortunate to have shared the spoils.
Kevin De Bruyne's absence from the Belgium squad may have thrown another fitness concern Guardiola's way, with Ederson also injured. It leaves the Blues boss with some big decisions to make and ManchesterWorld has tried to predict what Sunday's team will look like.
1. GK: Stefan Ortega
The 31-year-old is City's cup goalkeeper anyway but now Guardiola's only option. First-choice Ederson is out for around four weeks with a muscle injury he picked up against Liverpool.
2. RB: Kyle Walker
Can afford to start again, having had a full week's recovery from the draw at Anfield. Has tended to be rested every three or four games but enjoyed a night off against FC Copenhagen last week.
3. CB: John Stones
Started five of the last six and enjoying a good run in the team, following a torrid time with injuries.
4. CB: Ruben Dias
Rested against Liverpool last weekend and could feasibly come in to give Manuel Akanji a break. Benched against Luton in the last round but started against Huddersfield and Tottenham.
