Our Man City marks after Pep’s men claimed the second part of what would be a historic treble at Wembley.

The treble moved a step closer for Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City players after they came through an FA Cup Final test against cross-city rivals Manchester United.

In a historic first for Wembley finals, the two Manchester sides faced off under the famous arch and the famous old trophy when the way of the blue half of the City thanks to two goals from in-form midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. There were just 13 seconds on the clock when the Germany international stunned United with a brilliant volley.

A controversial penalty from Bruno Fernandes allowed United back into the game but City would not be denied as Gundogan doubled his tally and ensured he lifted the FA Cup for the second time in his career. Another win in next weekend’s Champions League Final against Internazionale would see Guardiola’s men become only the second English side to complete the treble and bring down the curtain on a remarkable season.
